Shine Your Shoes

Shining your shoes can make your shoes last longer. Dirt and moisture can remove the finish and help leather to break down faster. Cleaning and applying polish can help prevent this. Here's how to shine your shoes:

  • Meltonian CreamClean your shoes with a brush. Take some time on this so that the brush hairs can get into all the cracks, crevices and seams.
  • Apply the stuff. What stuff? Try one of these
    • Wax - Use a horse hair dauber to apply the wax to the shoe and let it sit.
    • Cream - Use a sponge dauber to apply the shoe cream to the shoe and let it dry.
    • Liquid - Bottles of shine liquid usually have a built in sponge to apply it to the shoe. Let it dry after application.
  • Finish it off. How? It depends upon the finish you want:
    • Matte - Rub off the polish with a cloth then brush it with a shine brush.
    • Shine - Rub off excess polish with a cloth and then get a long cloth. Take each end of the long cloth in one hand. Move the cloth quickly back and forth across the shoe till it shines.
    • Glow - For a very shiny shoe complete b. and then use a patent shine spray to finish it.

Now your shoes should shine. For the best results use high quality products like Meltonian Cream or Kiwi Wax.
